Program Timeline

Timeline Overview

Step 1: Submit Complete Application Packet (Generally due 1 month prior to selected cohort month)

Step 2: Written Notification of Acceptance Into the Program

Step 3: Select a Cohort: (a) June Cohort (b) September Cohort (c) December Cohort

Step 4: Training and Coursework (13 months in duration)

Step 5: Certification

At the conclusion of your certification training and field-based practicum, the final step is successfully passing both the TExES 268 Principal Examination and the Performance Assessment for School Leaders- PASL (368). PEL participants will then be eligible for the Principal as Instructional Leader Standard Principal Certificate. Upon successful completion of all of the program requirements, you will receive recommendation for the Standard Principal Certification.
