NJROTC Naval Science Instructor

Description: Rockport-Fulton high School is located just northeast of Corpus Christi, Texas, and is seeking a highly motivated, team oriented, and academically driven Naval Science Instructor (NSI) to fill a vacancy in July 2019. The program was established in 2009 and averages 105-110 cadets. It has been recognized as a Distinguished Unit and enjoys support from the entire community plus the Superintendent, School Board, Principal, administrators, and faculty. Instructors are on a 12-month contract (226 work day schedule) with salary above MIP. This position follows the holiday schedule of the students, plus annual leave outside of school days. The prospective NSI would be highly involved in extracurricular team practices. This position requires a significant amount of time supervising extracurricular activities after school, weekends, and overnight travel to include NJROTC competitive teams, community service, and school athletic events. The instructor must be able to obtain a Class B with endorsement PS license to drive a bus.

BISD Police Officer (2)

LENGTH OF EMPLOYMENT: 187 Days

SALARY RANGE: Minimum: $23.16 hr. / $34,647 yr.

Maximum $30.99 hr. / $46,361 yr. (*dependent on experience)

Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school diploma.

2. Must hold a valid Peace Officer certification from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officers Standards and Education.

3. Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License.

4. Must not have a criminal history record.

5. Two years of successful law enforcement experience as a commissioned peace officer (preferred).

6. Two or more years of college or advanced training (preferred).

7. Must be able to work day, evening, and nightshifts with varied days off.

8. Ability to work with students and school aged children.

9. Good human relation and communication skills.

10. Knowledge to present crime prevention programs in a classroom setting (preferred).

11. Must be willing to relocate to Bee County with a 30 minute response time to admin building.
