Assistive Technology

The Assistive Technology Program is designed to help school districts meet the unique needs of students with disabilities, ages 0-21, who can realize educational benefits from using AT devices and/or services. AT devices include computer hardware, software and peripherals for computer access, augmentative communication systems, environmental controls, assistive listening, visual aids, equipment for positioning, mobility and self care. Coordinated assistance and staff development are available in program development, implementation and assessment of students to establish the need for assistive technology. A preview lab is maintained and available for "hands-on" experiences.
