Local children’s book author to share her book with students via statewide
videoconference.
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS May 21, 2007 Thanks to the
Education Service Center, Region 2’s (ESC-2) distance learning program,
thousands of children statewide will enjoy the unique opportunity to have local
children’s book author, Sarah Nuse, share her new book “Tippi’s Pink Ballet
Shoes” and fun songs like “Blue Bubble Gum Hanging from a Tree” and “I Love
Tippi Toes” from her brand new CD! The author will read her book, sing, dance,
and demonstrate the preparation of a healthy treat during a statewide
videoconference scheduled on Tuesday, May 22nd from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The
event is coordinated by the Education Service Center, Region 2’s distance
learning program, which aims to incorporate videoconferencing technology into
the classroom experience.
Boys and girls will be introduced to characters in the book such as Tippi the
Turtle, Buzz the Bee, Bopa the Butterfly, Freddy the Frog and more. They will
also gather up ingredients for a yummy recipe — “Ladybug Apples” — before the
show and enjoy a healthy treat after the spectacular statewide presentation. You
won’t want to miss all of the singing and dancing!
The mission of the Education Service Center, Region 2 is to
be a catalyst for change resulting in student improvement and efficiency and
