You know them as award-winning children’s author and songwriter John Archambault and British recording artist David Plummer. Kids know them as FUN!

John & David first teamed up in 1990 to produce a musical version of the best-selling book, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, and the project blossomed into a wonderful long-term partnership. What:    The celebration will be songs, storytelling and poetry with John Archambault and David Plummer.

 

When: Thursday, April 8, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Why:     The presentation builds upon the magical capacity of music to create meaningful language experiences again and again. The repetition of melodies, cadences, and phrases of song is especially helpful for children with English as a second language. As children intuitively and effortlessly absorb language patterns, the stage is set for them to become successful readers.
