Hundreds of parents expected to attend conference on parent involvement.

Education Service Center and Robstown ISD to host conference on Wednesday, February 18, 2009

February 18, 2009 – Corpus Christi, Texas —  Robstown Independent School District (RISD) and the Education Service Center, Region 2 (ESC-2), will be co-sponsoring the 24th Annual Parent Involvement Conference on Wednesday, February 18, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. This year’s conference, titled “Parents At Work,” will highlight issues such as Discipline Strategies, Preparing for College and Careers, and Developing Assets. An estimated 500 parents are expected at to attend the General Session from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

 

  Parents, community leaders and businesses, as well as educators will have the opportunity to attend concurrent informational sessions presented by consultants and specialists from ESC-2 .  Entertainment and door prizes will be provided to conference participants.  The conference will be held at the Robstown High School in Robstown, Texas.
