Participants will learn strategies to
integrate the Internet into classroom activities with a focus on
appropriate and safe use. Online Resources such as lesson plans, class
projects, educational games, reference materials, study aids, specialized
search engines, and web publishing will be highlighted.
Prerequisite: Beginning Internet
This is an online
workshop conducted at a distance. There will be no
face-to-face meeting with the instructor. Participants will
"attend" this workshop via the Internet and "hand in"
assignments via email. Discussion among participants will be
facilitated through ListServ subscription. Therefore, it is
required that participants have regular access to the
Internet and possess an active email account either at work
or home.
The workshop begins on
Monday, _______ and ends on Friday, _______, a six-week window. Participants may work at their own pace and schedule of
convenience within the time frame. However, participants are expected to spend at
least 24 hours working on assignments during this time. Late assignments will not be accepted. A Certificate
of Attendance will be issued based upon participation and
the recommendation of the instructor. This certificate includes
24 hours of CPE credit.
On the Friday before
the start date,
registered (and confirmed) participants will be emailed instructions.
How to Register
The fee for this workshop is $200.00 for each individual
from a Region 2 educational entity, $400.00 for all others. A check or
purchase order must accompany registration.
