The Educational Media Center is a central library of educational
resources available to participating districts, charter schools and
private schools. Educational Media Center Services include on-line
and in-house collections of curriculum aligned resources to enhance
student achievement.

Media Booking & Catalog & Self Registration
The Instructional Media Library partners with Region 2 districts
through membership in the Regional Media Cooperative. We provide
a K-12 lending library of over 7000 audio-visual resources
available for circulation to school districts that support TEKS
and TAKS. All subject areas
are available, as well as, staff development programs. The
Instructional Media Catalog is available online. Member districts may browse the catalog and do scheduling of
visuals online.

Facts
On File Databases
These online databases include a collection of reference data and
information presented in a clear and organized framework which
allows for powerful searching and customization capabilities.
Databases for History, Multicultural, Science, Health, Career
Guidance and Geography are included. In addition a Curriculum
Resource Center includes visual reference materials for over 25

This is included in the Educational Media Services but is
available to non Media contracting districts.

Digital video from
www.unitedstreaming.com
with over
2,200
video titles and over 22,000
digital video clips,
and over 2,000 still images are available for streaming or
downloading. The programs are searchable by keyword, subject area
and grade level, and by content area TEKS. Extensive teacher's
guides and student activities are available instantly.
This is included in the Educational Media Services
but is available to non Media contracting districts.

must notify all its users to immediately erase all content
obtained from the website from any server, hard drive, CD, zip
disk or other storage device.

This
educational search engine accesses more than 180,000
educator-selected online resources organized by readability level
and aligned with state standards. Quickly and easily find
resources for general-education students, ELL/ESL students, those
working below or above grade level, those with reading challenges
or special needs. An entire section of netTrekker d.i.
resources is devoted to ELL and teaching English as a second
language. netTrekker d.i.'s 180,000
educator-selected resources come alive with a new read aloud
feature that automatically reads text back to students with just a
click of a button. Send your students to the new netTrekker
d.i. image database for safe, pornography-free images to
use in school multimedia projects or classroom presentations. From
school or home, students can search netTrekker d.i.
and find resources tailored specifically to their individual
needs.

Living Material Co-op
Will provide
living science materials to teachers beginning in the 2007-2008
school year. Living materials include over 100 living specimens.
Small mammals (hamsters, rats, mice and gerbils, non-poisonous
snakes, fish live frogs, plants, flower and vegetable seeds,
micro-organisms, preserved specimen, prepared Petri dishes and
de-ionized water may be ordered by any teacher in participating
districts. Bi-weekly delivery of live science materials will be
delivered to each campus.

Duplication
Services
Audio Tapes, CD & DVD Duplication
The Media Center is offering video tape, CD and DVD duplication services.
The cost for video tapes is $10.00, CD's are $2.00, DVD 's are $3.00.
The CD
and DVD duplication contains CD, CD case and labeling. A $10.00 set-up
fee will be applied to orders needing graphics or designs (clients must
provide their own graphics/designs). Orders must be submitted one week in
advance. Large orders must be schedule by contacting Larry Stone.
Duplication can not be done on copyright

Audiovisual
Repair (New Equipment Form Needed)
Region 2 coordinates
school districts repairs of A/V equipment by offering pick up and delivery of A/V
equipment needing repair. Items are picked up at campus in each
district and are brought to ESC via van delivery. Please contact
