Maximum $30.99 hr. / $46,361 yr. (*dependent on experience)

Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school diploma.

2. Must hold a valid Peace Officer certification from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officers Standards and Education.

3. Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License.

4. Must not have a criminal history record.

5. Two years of successful law enforcement experience as a commissioned peace officer (preferred).

6. Two or more years of college or advanced training (preferred).

7. Must be able to work day, evening, and nightshifts with varied days off.

8. Ability to work with students and school aged children.

9. Good human relation and communication skills.

10. Knowledge to present crime prevention programs in a classroom setting (preferred).

11. Must be willing to relocate to Bee County with a 30 minute response time to admin building.

1. Works with High School Head Band Director to organize and carry out a practice schedule. Coordinates assigned activities with the school calendar. Supervises all assigned activities and performances.

Student Management

8. Perform emergency evacuation of students on bus when the situations warrants.

10. Ensure proper condition of emergency equipment, such as first aid kit, fire extinguisher, flags, fuses, crow bar, and reflector.
11. Correct unsafe conditions in work area and promptly report conditions that are not immediately correctable to supervisor. Report any hazardous conditions along scheduled route.
12. Install snow chains during inclement weather.
13. Maintain safety certification.

READING AND MATH INTERVENTIONIST TEACHER Grades 5-6

Description: JOB PURPOSE:
The Reading and Math Interventionist (RMI) is responsible for the academic growth of small groups of students. The RMI will meet one-on-one or in small groups with students to assess their current level of performance and provide targeted instruction. The RMI is responsible for keeping detailed records of their sessions with students and reviewing data.
Requirements: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Instructional Setting
Work individually or in small groups with students to assess current level of performance. Provide targeted instructional that meets the need of each individual student. Write lesson plans and analyze data under the direction of the Intervention Coordinator. Treat all children with dignity and respect. Attend all staff meetings and recommended training programs and conferences, including in-service training as may be required by the district. Operate and care for instructional equipment used in the classroom. Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal. Follow directions given by head teacher or immediate supervisor.
Student Management
Assist with the supervision of students outside the classroom such as: field trips to assist with student supervision and safety, during play period, lunchroom activities, dismissal, etc.
School/Community Relations
Maintain confidentiality about children, their families, and other employees outside the school. Handle sensitive and confidential information, documents, communications, incidents, etc., with discretion and in a conscientious manner. Cooperate and share professionally with other members of the staff.
The Reading and Math Interventionist will promote:

READING INTERVENTIONIST TEACHER

Reports to: The Building Principal
Job Goal: To help students develop proficient reading skills that will contribute to
their academic growth.
Requirements: Responsibilities: Reading interventionists work extensively with students to help
them improve specific reading skills such as letter-naming, initial sounds, phoneme
segmentation, and comprehension strategies. An interventionist addresses the
specific needs of a particular child when regular classroom instruction is not
sufficient. Interventionists work with the teacher to design methods of learning that
are most appropriate for each child. Interventionists are often former or retired
teachers or paraprofessionals who have been trained in conducting these intensive
learning sessions.
1. Consult frequently with classroom teachers on matters relating to reading
instruction using our progress-monitoring instrument as a base.
2. Design interventions and write lesson plans detailing methods and materials.
3. Assist in the evaluation of on going programs and make recommendations for
change.
4. Assist teachers and other administrators and/or supervisors in implementing the
school reading program.
5. Help teachers diagnose reading strengths and weaknesses and match these skills
with appropriate techniques and materials.
6. Keep the parents informed as to the purposes and progress of the reading
program.
7. Work with support staff and school administrators to facilitate the coordination of
the reading program with the total curriculum.
8. Consult with curriculum committees studying such topics as textbook selection,
vocabulary development, concept development, supplementary materials and the
development of study skills.
9. Promote interest in reading.
10. Work with the classroom teacher and district personnel to coordinate reading
instruction designed to meet the individual needs of students.
11. Work with the classroom teacher to monitor student progress.
12. Teach remedial reading as needed.
13. Perform other responsibilities as may, from time to time, be assigned by the
supervisor.
